Racing Demon, also known as Gluck, Grouch, Lucky Thirty, Nerds, Nerts, Nertz, Mertz, Moofles, Peanuts, Popeye, Pounce, Solitaire Frenzy, Stop, Squeal, Squeak, Squid, Speed, Squinch, or Race Horse Rummy, is a Solitaire variant played with a standard 52-card deck. It incorporates elements of Spit, is usually played by multiple players simultaneously (each with their own deck), and is known for its rapid pace.

Because all players are using separate decks, the game is played in real-time, making it a race game. Balancing this out is the fact that erroneously declaring yourself done will result in points being awarded to every other player. There are many variations. In standard Racing Demon, there is a 12-card bone pile and four starter cards. Players receive 10 points for finishing a pile with a king, 20 points for winning, and 10 points if someone else declares a win incorrectly. Players who start a round with a negative score are allowed to reduce their pile by one. Decks are rotated counterclockwise from player to player with each round to ensure fairness.
