    Well, I think this idea that wheneverwe do these things where we have another artist do stuffwith us, our main agenda at the time-- when we worked with evenChris Martin or Justin Vernon of Boniver--we wanted it to sound like them at the same time,even though we're doing most of the production.

    We didn't want it just to be a song that they were in.We wanted it to sound like them and us at the same time.And that's a little bit more difficult.Because sometimes you're just working on music with people,and it is what it is.It doesn't really matter who it sounds like.But since we were only going to do these things, some of themwe had three or four songs together.But some of them, we did, we just have the one song.

    So when we did the thing with Kesha and Justin Vernon,I don't think we would have succeededif it didn't sound like them and us together.And then part of that, it's a lot of funnot to be the absolute dictator of what'salways going to happen.I think I like that.

    I like being able to be the one thatdecides it's going to be this or that.But a lot of times it's fun not to have the choice.It's like, this is what we're going to do.It's already here.We have to work with this.And I sometimes think that makes even better music, because it'salready got something built in there.But mostly it's just their energy,and just it makes you think in different ways.

    I think they work a lot like I do.They don't always know what they're going to do.And they just start to do it.And I think in the beginning, you're uncomfortable with that,because you think, well, I'm not prepared.But after a while, there's no wayyou can really be that prepared.You have to think, well, when we get together,we're going to make up something.

    and it's going to sound a different way.She sang it right into her laptop.Once I went to her house.I saw what it was like.She had a table there, and a pianositting right there next to it.And she just put the laptop on the table,and then sat at the piano, and screamed into the laptop.And I really liked it.I thought it just really worked.And she sent it to us.

    And we immediately threw it into our big Pro Tools systemand started working on it.And then I talked to her later.She said well, that's just me showing youhow the song might go.And I was like, well, I've already turned it into a song.I really liked it.And just that much can get you going on something.And so it's like that.You just have to know or believe that
