Russon, Craig W.

(b.1958, Moab, Utah). Ph.D. Vocational and Technical Education, M.A. Educational Psychology, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; M.B.A., St. Ambrose University; B.A. Psychology, Utah State University.

Russon is Evaluation Manager with the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Chile and Honduras between 1981 and 1983.

He has worked with many others, both within and outside the American Evaluation Association, to establish the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE), a loose coalition of 45 regional and national evaluation organizations around the world. He is known within the American Evaluation Association for his establishing the Silent Auction, AEA Travel Grants, and the Book Exchange. He created and comanages XCeval (a listserv for persons interested in international and cross-cultural evaluation issues) and the International and Cross-Cultural Evaluation TIG Web site (http://home.wmis.net/~russon/icce/). Russon is Coeditor (along with Karen Russon) of The Annotated Bibliography of International Program Evaluation.

Russon is on the Board of Directors of the American Evaluation Association and the Michigan Association for Evaluation, one of AEA's 13 state and regional affiliates. He has worked to decentralize AEA's governance structure by transferring some of its decision-making power to the affiliates, which makes it possible to expand the market for evaluation products and services at the grassroots level.
