Structuralism (Sociology)
A broad term referring to the system of organizations in a society. The system creates a social structure. Parts of this structure are differentially available to members of a society, creating limited opportunities based on factors such as gender, power, and wealth. For example, access to the educational structural system is based on personal factors such as gender and socioeconomic status.
