Paradigm (Sociology)
A model used by a scientific discipline to support given theories or laws. A paradigm determines the subject matter to be observed, why it needs to be observed, and how the results should be interpreted. Paradigms give legitimacy to theories and may be useful in uniting different theories under one broad category.
