A technique for interpreting the meaning of stories. In narrative analysis, the idea of a “story” is extended to include texts, such as interview transcripts, journals, life histories, memoirs, personal accounts, family stories, notes, graffiti, and nonfiction works. The narrative allows the analyst to view cultural and social patterns through the individual experience.
