A legal term that indicates the merger of several lawsuits or legal cases, or several parties within the same cases. Joinders occur when there is a common ground that joins all legal cases or parties together. A formal hearing must occur before a judge to proceed with a merger, at which point it must be proven that this merger of cases or parties will not cause harm to any of the parties involved in the existing cases.
