Computer Crime
Crime in which the computer, used as the primary instrument, facilitates the commission of criminal activity. It is also known as cybercrime. Unauthorized use of a computer can result in theft of service, forgery, identity theft, embezzlement, interruption of service, establishment of fake accounts, cyberstalking, implementation of computer viruses, and so forth. Sexual predators are known to solicit potential victims via the Internet, which is a type of computer crime.
