Beck Depression Inventory (BDI)
The BDI is a 21-item, brief, self-report instrument to assess symptoms of major depressive disorders. The BDI is now in its second edition and provides cutoff scores to classify the severity of symptoms in the mild, moderate, or severe range. The instrument has been shown to have excellent reliability and validity.
