The Chicken or the Egg: Hatching a New and Innovative Product

Abstract

Parson Food Vegetable Company (PFVC) a subsidiary of Parson Food was formed from a number of different frozen and canned vegetable companies purchased by Parson Food. Richard Lawson the CEO of PFVC needed to find a way to increase profits and boost performance of the new company and was taken in the idea of a new product ‘chicken sensations’. The student is given all the financial cost of producing this new product and invited to consider whether they would sanction the creation of ‘chicken sensations’.
