Awards federal grants to support public, academic, research, school, and special libraries. Promotes access to information through electronic networks, links between libraries, and services to individuals having difficulty using a library. Provides funding for improved library services to Native American tribal communities, Alaska Native villages, and Native Hawaiian library users. Provides federal grants for improved care of museum collections and increased professional development opportunities.
