Administers and enforces the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (Landrum-Griffin Act), which guarantees union members certain rights; sets rules for electing union officers, handling union funds, and using trusteeships; requires unions to file annual financial reports with the Labor Dept. regulatory authority over relevant sections of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1980 and the Foreign Service Act of 1980.
