Overview

Every single day, there are about 5 billion videos watched on YouTube. Data are constantly being created, collected, and analyzed with an average of 40,000 search queries per second on Google. Many organizations work with high volumes of sensitive and private data that need to be kept secure and confidential. Have you ever wondered how all of that information remains organized, useful, and reliable? And it isn’t just limited to major internet or credit card companies. Think about the web usage or customer data your organization collects. What policies are in place to protect it?

This Skill covers a wide range of important topics including: data governance to data standards, data handling to state and federal regulations that protect individual privacy rights and data access, and best practices to share and manage data in the workplace.
