The multiplicity of women's issues in religion depends on a complex relationship of variables, such as the specific religious tradition in question, the variance of locations in which it is practiced, the multiple ethnicities of practitioners, the differences in social class among believers, and individual or communal economic issues. One way to approach this complex and changing relationship is through addressing issues that speak to important cross-cultural themes that affect many women.
