Paraphilias Associated With Violent Behavior

Defined as sexual gratification through unusual sexual acts and/or fantasies, many paraphilias are not illegal. Some of the following are sexually violent and illegal. Other listed paraphilias often are a constellation of acts engaged in by persons seeking sexual stimulation, which may lead to violent and/or criminal behavior.

Agonophilia: arousal by a partner pretending to struggle

Altocalciphilia: high-heel shoe fetish

Alvinolagnia: stomach fetish

Amokoscisia: arousal or sexual frenzy with the desire to slash or mutilate women

Anililagnia: arousal from older female sex partners

Anophelorastia: arousal from defiling or ravaging a partner

Anthropophagolagnia: rape with cannibalsim

Autonecrophilia: imagining oneself as a corpse or becoming sexually aroused by simulated corpses

Biastophilia: arousal through violent rape of the victim; also called raptophilia

Bondage: physical or mental restriction of partners

Coprolalia: arousal from using obscene language or writing
