The SAGE Handbook of Inclusion and Diversity in Education examines policy and practice from around the world, with respect to broadly conceived notions of inclusion and diversity within education. Equity and quality are often mentioned as key ingredients of high performing education systems (e.g. OECD, 2012). According to Field, Kuczera and Pont (2007), equity consists of two dimensions: fairness and inclusion.
