The scientific study of the evolution of human coalitional aggression has exploded over the last several decades. In four parts, I explore and integrate several of the core frameworks that have emerged to explain the human practice of inter-group violence. First, we have a better understanding of the conditions required for the evolution of adaptations for coalitional aggression.
