Basic Income
Basic income is an unconditional and universal cash transfer for all individuals in a society, without considering any kinds of entitlement mechanism or precondition, such as means testing. As a result of this unconditionality principle, basic income transfer does not require the performance of any work, or the obligation to accept a job if one is offered. Being a citizen is the only condition in order to be entitled for this assistance, regardless of having another stable income source. In the logic of basic income transfers, the value of being a human takes the central place, instead of the importance of work or labor.
