Weizmann Institute of Science

The Weizmann Institute of Science is a multidisciplinary public research center and university located in Rehovot, Israel. The institute consists of five faculties, 17 departments, a graduate school, and over 50 multidisciplinary centers. These five faculties include Mathematics and Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biology.

To support these varied disciplines, the institute employs a diverse group of over 2,600 people, including scientists, students, postdoctoral fellows, and scientific, technical, and administrative staff. These individuals come from diverse backgrounds, many from Israel, but 28 other countries are also represented at the institute. This varied and large group of people enables the Weizmann Institute to serve as a meeting place for many scientific disciplines to share ideas and establish multidisciplinary collaborations.
