Interaction Among Students

Online education offers students the ability to connect with other students through a variety of synchronous and asynchronous tools, although not all theories of learning necessitate interaction between students. In online learning environments designed with a social constructivist framework, though, interaction between students is a crucial component of the learning experience.

Similar Terms and Phrases

Terms used to refer to interaction between students include peer participation, peer interaction,peer responses, and collaborative learning. Two terms are related to, but distinct from, interaction: interactivity and intersubjectivity.
