Female Orgasmic Disorder
Female orgasmic disorder (FOD) is a clinical diagnosis characterized by problems achieving orgasm or dissatisfaction of orgasms in women during sexual activity. An orgasm can be defined as the climax of sexual excitement, involving a series of rhythmic muscular contractions leading to feelings of intense pleasure in the genitals. Although this disorder can be diagnosed as a medical condition, FOD is frequently diagnosed as a mental health disorder, as outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).
