Retirement Communities

Retirement communities could be defined narrowly or broadly. In the narrow sense, retirement communities could be defined as residential facilities that are purpose built for people who are retired from the paid workforce and offer support and services related to the needs of the people living in the facility. More broadly, however, retirement communities could be defined as places where people reside with full independence (if desired) and with connection to other retirees within relatively close proximity, and are provided services for elder care.
