Luria-Nebraska Neuropsychological Battery
The extensive work of Russian neuropsychologist A. R. Luria has long been recognized as a major contribution to clinical neuropsychology. Despite the impact of Luria’s ideas, his clinical procedures were largely ignored in the United States. A major problem was the lack of standardization of the techniques and the scoring, a procedure apparently antithetical to Luria’s own qualitative and process approaches. The Luria-Nebraska Neuropsychological Battery (LNNB) was developed to provide a standardized version of Luria’s seminal works so that his techniques would be more accessible for American psychologists.
