Standardized Testing
Standardized testing in educational contexts is a practice aimed at the assessment of an individual's knowledge, skills, or competencies by using a test of a standardized character. Standardized testing is used for different purposes for all levels in educational systems. From a sociological perspective, testing plays a key role in the socialization of individuals in educational settings, in social stratification, and in the production and reproduction of social structures of society.
