Albania is located in Southern Europe and is one of more than 10 Balkan nations. Albania is an old Mediterranean country, with a history dating from the 4th century BC. It is bordered by Montenegro in the north, Kosovo in the northeast, the Republic of Macedonia in the east, and Greece in the south.
