Weather forecasting has been around since humans recognized changes in conditions occurring as weather patterns changed or started to change. These original “forecasts” were passed down from generation to generation through oral tradition. Some of these are still part of our culture and do have physical validity to their meaning. One such maxim is “Red sky at night, sailor's delight.
