To my own surprise, I have kissed a frog into a prince. This chapter tells the fairy tale of how I embraced climate, how I added wealth, and how I ended up with organizations. It all began back in the 1990s when I became fascinated by the unique potential of atmospheric cold and heat as predictors rather than correlates of human culture, including organizational phenomena (see Peterson & Smith, 1997; Van de Vliert, Schwartz, Huismans, Hofstede, & Daan, 1999; Van de Vliert & Van Yperen, 1996). Later, at the beginning of the new millennium, I made the following three cumulative discoveries.
