This past year's American Psychological Association (APA) convention in San Francisco (August, 2001) marked the 10-year anniversary of the Multicultural Counseling Awareness Scale (MCAS), which was first introduced to the research community at the 1991 APA convention, which was also held in San Francisco (Ponterotto, Sanchez, & Magids, 1991).
