Differences in performance between males and females have been noted with respect to nearly all areas of psychologiscal assessment (i.e., cognitive abilities, personality, and vocational interests). Test score discrepancies between men and women have led to controversies concerning test bias. Revisions of some of the most popular tests have been conducted in part to address issues of gender and cultural bias.
