Organizations
Organizations are social arrangements created to pursue collective goals by a group of members. Organizations generally possess legal personality and are therefore able to enter into contracts, to own property, or to sue and be sued. They are physically located and encompass bureaucratic and budgetary structures, managed by different governing bodies. Their activities are developed within a framework predefined by its members, who are regularly assessed and planed. Because organizations embody persistent sets of rules and understandings that prescribe certain practices, they are also institutions, although not all institutions are organizations.
