Ten Key Values of the Greens
The Ten Key Values of the Greens are guiding principles that provide a framework for green party activities including organizing, education, outreach, activism, and the development of political platforms. The current version of the Ten Key Values adopted by the Green Party of the United States was ratified in 2000 at the Green Party Convention in Denver, Colorado. It consists of the following principles:
- Grassroots democracy
- Social justice and equal opportunity
- Ecological wisdom
- Nonviolence
- Decentralization
- Community-based economics and economic justice
- Feminism and gender equity
- Respect for diversity
- Personal and global responsibility
- Future focus and sustainability
