Trustworthiness
Trustworthiness is a term used within interpretivist and constructivist paradigms that is the approximate equivalent of validity. The trustworthiness of evaluation resides primarily within the data and is addressed by questions such as, “Are data able to be traced back to a primary source?” “Are they verifiable?” “Are the conclusions reached logical, sensible, plausible?” The criteria for trustworthiness are credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability.
