Hughes, Gerunda B.

Hughes is a faculty member and coordinator of the secondary education program in the School of Education, Howard University. She is a co-principal investigator of the Center for Research on the Education of Students Placed at Risk classroom assessment project, an interdisciplinary research project examining the problems of effective classroom assessment in mathematics and reading. This project, and other work, reflects her contributions to understanding the best ways to judge the educational achievement of minority children.
