Center for Problem-Oriented Policing
The Center for Problem-Oriented Policing serves as a source of information for police practitioners and academics both in the United States and abroad. The center’s publications, training modules, case studies, awards program, and annual conference can serve as an initial point of inquiry when police attempt to address crime and disorder through the use of problem-oriented policing. The sole mission of the center is to advance the concept and practice of problem-oriented policing in order to assist the police in more effectively addressing neighborhood problems of crime and disorder. This entry discusses the means by which the center attempts to accomplish this mission.
