Alibi
A statement made by a person accused of committing some act (usually a crime) that he or she was otherwise occupied or elsewhere during the time when that act was committed. This contention renders it impossible for that individual to have committed the act. An ideal or airtight alibi is one that can be supported by other people or by incontestable facts.
