Standard Deviation
In statistics, the square root of the variance, or spread, of a variable's values around the mean, or average of values. The variance is the average of the squared differences between the mean and the data points. A measure of statistical dispersion, a small standard deviation indicates that many of the data points are close to the mean, while a large standard deviation indicates that many of the data points are spread far from the mean.
