Organizational Culture (Public Administration)
The shared values, assumptions, expectations, attitudes, and beliefs that exist within an organization. These shared attributes affect the behavior of individuals within an organizational context, which in turn affects the behavior of the organization as a whole. A strong organizational culture occurs when there is agreement between the values and goals of individuals and the larger organization. A weak organizational culture occurs when there is a lack of alignment between individuals and the organization and may result in poor performance of employees or other problems in the functioning of the organization.
