Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA)
A general linear model (GLM) with one quantitative dependent variable and a mixture of categorical and quantitative independent variables. ANCOVA is often used as an extension of analysis of variance (ANOVA), where the means of different groups or treatment levels are compared for statistical significance after “adjusting” or “controlling for” the relationship between the dependent variable and the quantitative independent variable (called the “covariate”).
