Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac rehabilitation refers to the process of providing exercise training, medical management for coronary risk factors, and psychosocial interventions for individuals who have cardiovascular disease. Persons eligible are those who have had a heart attack, heart surgery, or other invasive heart procedures such as coronary artery stenting. In addition, persons with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, implantable defibrillators, valvular heart disease, or peripheral vascular disease qualify for these services.
