Sage Business Foundations
covers key business and management theories to help students understand and apply different approaches to problem solving in the current business environment. Together, we identified and recruited contributors on the basis of dual expertise in teaching and industry. Each Editor-in-Chief then worked with their team of contributors to fine-tune content and ensure comprehensive coverage. With representation across 23 different countries and six continents, we are proud to say that

Fallon Jr. Professor of Management at Francis Marion University. He received his Ph.D in Information Technology and Operations and MS in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He also has an MBA from Delhi University and BE in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University.Dr. Rajagopalan’s area of expertise is in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Machine Learning and Complex Adaptive Systems. His research has been published in published in academic journals such as Journal of Operations Research Society, European Journal of Operational Research, Computers and Operations Research, and Decision Support Systems.Prior to his career in academia, Dr. Rajagopalan worked in industry designing steam turbines, gas turbines and aircraft engines as a mechanical engineer and building and designing ERP systems as a software consulting in India and Malaysia.Business Communications *

Before joining LUISS, Lakshmi was a Senior Assistant Professor at Utrecht University (The Netherlands) and a Ph.D candidate at Università della Svizzera italiana (Italy). Lakshmi’s primary areas of interest include qualitative methodology in organization studies, organizational ethics, and gender in organizations. She has published in various journals including Organizational Research Methods, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Management Inquiry, Scientometrics, Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management , etc., to name a few. She has also edited and co-authored books, book chapters, and case studies with Cambridge University Press, Financial Times Press, and Sage Publishing. Lakshmi is the recipient of various grants from Swiss National Foundation, Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences, USI Equal Opportunities Services etc. For her work she has received various awards from Academy of Management, British Academy of Management, European Conference on Research Methodology for Business and Management Studies, etc. Lakshmi has taught courses and conducted workshops in different countries across Europe, Asia, and North America.Business Strategy
Coming June 2023!Rimi ZakariaUniversity of Wisconsin-WhitewaterRimi Zakaria, Ph.D, is an associate professor of management at the College of Business and Economics, University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. Her research is at the crossroads of strategic management, business sustainability, and international business, especially within the contexts of inter-firm partnerships. Dr. Zakaria’s research has appeared in various scholarly outlets, including in Multinational Business Review , A dvances in Mergers & Acquisitions , and A nnals of Operations Research . She teaches courses in strategic management, sustainability, international management, and negotiation strategies. Prior to joining academia, she worked as a management consultant in the manufacturing sector.Entrepreneurship *

She teaches the Senior Capstone course, Business Policy and Strategy, as well as a Junior-Level Management course she designed, Management Principles and Organizational Behavior. Dr. Davis’ research focuses on Entrepreneurship as well as the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Her work has been published in the Journal of Business Venturing , the Journal of Health & Human Services Administration and other academic journals.Before serving at Morehouse, she was a faculty program director at Georgia Tech. Prior to her career in Academia, she worked 18 years in the corporate, nonprofit and government sectors as well as being sole proprietor of a small business.Dr. Davis was blessed to have received a Ph.D from Georgia Tech, MBA from the University of Chicago, and B.S. from Northwestern University.Human Resource Management
Coming June 2023!Hadi El-FarrRutgers, The State University of New JerseyHadi El-Farr is the founding director of the Online Masters in Human Resource Management at the School of Management and Labor Relations, Rutgers University. In addition to managing the program since 2019, Hadi is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the Human Resource Management Department, designing and delivering courses in Strategic HRM, Global HRM, Staffing, and Organizational Behavior, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Before joining Rutgers University in 2014, Hadi taught at several universities, including the University of Cincinnati, the University of Leeds, the University of Roehampton, and the University of York.Hadi’s research interests are Strategic HRM, Knowledge Management, Artificial Intelligence in HRM, Performance Management, Job Skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and Online Education. His research resulted in many publications, conference papers and presentations, public talks, and executive and professional training, in addition to incorporating his findings into teaching.Hadi had his Ph.D in Business and Economics from the University of Leeds, MBA from the Lebanese American University, and BBA from the American University of Beirut. He also has many certifications, including Professional in Human Resource Management and Lifelong Learning in Inclusive & Equitable Teaching. Hadi serves on many committees, including teaching evaluation and online education. Before joining academia, Hadi held many positions in industry, including HR manager, recruiter, and purchasing manager. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise within the Middle Eastern, European, and American markets and has worked in various industries including higher education, retail, trade, management consulting, and hospitality. His research and teaching interests include development finance, international business, and corporate strategy. Coming June 2023!Sabine HoidnUniversity of St. Gallen (Switzerland)Sabine Hoidn is a lecturer and Head of the Student-Centered Learning Lab at the University of St. Gallen. Her research focuses on higher education teaching, learning and curriculum as well as management education. In particular, she consults and conducts research in the field of student-centered learning and teaching in higher and management education with her latest edited handbook titled The Routledge International Handbook of Student-Centered Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (Routledge, 2020). She teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in management and education and conducts professional development lectures and workshops for faculty worldwide. She received a Ph.D in business education from the University of St. Gallen, and the venia legendi in educational science, especially higher education (PD) from the University of Zurich.Marketing *

Coming June 2023!Barbara RitterJacksonville UniversityDr. Barbara Ritter is Dean of the Davis College of Business and Executive Director of Career Services at Jacksonville University. She is an expert in the field of organizational behavior and management education with more than 75 publications and presentations in this area. She has consulting experience in the areas of organizational culture, human resource policies, employee satisfaction, selection and promotion, performance appraisal and development, and data collection and analysis. She is a recipient of a number of awards including the Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Chapter Advisor, the Horry County Stardust Award for Outstanding Contribution, and the MOBTS Peter Frost Mentoring Award, which acknowledges individuals who are distinguished as gifted teachers and scholars and who unselfishly impart these gifts through mentoring students, colleagues and associates. In 2020, Barbara was recognized by MOBTS with the David L. Bradford Outstanding Educator Award, which acknowledges a person with consistently demonstrated achievement over a lifetime, focusing on teaching and learning excellence. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Akron.
