Note: General elections were held on December 27, 2020. The Nigerien Party for Democracy and Socialism–Tarayya (PDNS—Tarayya) was first with 80 seats, followed by the Nigerien Democratic Movement for an African Federation-Lumana FA/Niger with 19 seats. Two parties tied for third place, the Patriotic Movement for the Republic and the National Movement for a Developing Society -Victory, each with 13 seats. In current presidential balloting, no candidate secured a majority. Mohamed Bazoum (PDNS—Tarayya) was first with 39.3 percent of the vote, followed by Mahamane Ousmane (Democratic and Republican Renewal) with 17 percent. The two advanced to run-off balloting scheduled for February 21, 2021.
