Note: Preliminary results from the October 26, 2014, elections for the 450-member Supreme Council credited the Petro Poroshenko Bloc (BPP) with winning 132 seats; the People’s Front (PF), 82; Self-Reliance, 33; the Opposition Bloc, 29; the Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko, 22; Fatherland, 19; Freedom, 6; independents, 96; and other parties, 4. (Elections were not held for 12 seats in Crimea, annexed by Russia the previous March, or for 15 seats in the Donetsk and Luhansk Regions, parts of which were under the control of pro-Russian separatists.) After extended negotiations, the five major pro-Western parties (the BPP, PF, Self-Reliance, Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko, and Fatherland) reached agreement on a coalition government on November 21.
