Note: Elections for one-third of the seats in the Czech Senate were held on October 12–13, 2012. The Czech Social Democratic Party won 13, an increase of 7, giving it a total of 46 seats. The Civic Democratic Party won four seats, and the Christian Democratic Union–Czech People’s Party won two seats, as did the Movement for Mayors and Independents. The Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia, the Pirate Party, and the Green Party, along with the Movement Ostravak, all won single seats in the Senate, while two independent candidates were elected.
