Monetary Unit: Euro (market rate October 3, 2011: 1 euro = $1.33US).

Captains Regent: Matteo FLORINI (Popular Alliance) and Gabrielle GATTI (San Marino Christian Democratic Party); elected on September 14, 2011, and inaugurated for a six-month term on October 1 to succeed Maria Luisa BERTI (We Sammarinese) and Filippo TAMAGNINI (San Marino Christian Democratic Party). (Captains regent are elected every six months, and the next election was scheduled for March 2012.)
