Note: In legislative elections on December 4, 2011, a center left-coalition, led by the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SPD) won a majority with 81 seats. The coalition also included the Croatian National Party-Liberal Democrats, the Istrian Democratic Assembly, and the Croatian Pensioners' Party. SPD leader Zoran Milanović formed a coalition government and was sworn in as prime minister on December 23. A center-right coalition, led by the then-ruling Croatian Democratic Union, and including the Democratic Center and the Croatian Civic Party, placed second in the balloting with 47 seats.
