Note: After parliamentary elections held on February 13, incumbent president Idriss DÉBY’s Patriotic Salvation Movement won a majority, gaining 110 of the 188 parliamentary seats and indicating strong early support for Déby. Following a postponement and the boycotting by main opposition candidates, the presidential election was held on April 25, 2011, with Déby winning a record fifth term.

Note: In October 2010 it was announced that legislative balloting would be postponed until February 2011.
