Note:The coalition government of Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek was toppled in a vote of no confidence tabled by the opposition Czech Social Democratic Party on March 24, 2009. Four disaffected deputies, two each from coalition parties, the Civic Democratic Party and the Green Party, voted with the opposition to narrowly pass the measure with 101 votes. President Klaus named Jan Fischer to lead a caretaker government with sixteen cabinet ministers on May 8. New legislative elections are scheduled for October.
