Captains Regent: Alberto SELVA (Popular Alliance) and Mirko TOMASSONI (independent elected on the Socialists and Democrats party list); elected by the Grand and General Council for six-month terms beginning October 1, 2007, replacing Alessandro MANCINI (Party of Socialists and Democrats) and Alessandro ROSSI (United Left).
