Note: The president of the Serb Republic, Milan Jelić, died on September 30, 2007. An early presidential election, held December 9, was won by Rajko Kuzmanović (Alliance of Independent Social Democrats), who took office on December 28. On November 1, 2007, Nikola Spirić resigned as prime minister of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina over his objections to parliamentary reform proposals put forward by the current high representative of the international community, Miroslav Lajčák.
