On the same day that the Supreme Court struck down a key section of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), it also released another decision with a profound impact on samesex marriage. In Hollingsworth v. Perry, the Court dismissed an appeal to a federal district court ruling that California's Proposition 8 is unconstitutional.
